Magnetic Metals has been making components for transformers for more than 70 years. Today, we carry a complete line of the most advanced magnetic materials available to accommodate a variety of transformers. These materials include silicon-iron (grain-oriented and non-oriented), nickel-iron, cobalt-iron, amorphous and nanocrystalline alloys. They enable us to produce tape wound toroidal and tape wound cut cores, transformer laminations, and bonded and interlocked stacks suitable for drive, current, fly-back, pulse and specialty transformers.
At our AS9100C-certified facilities in Anaheim and Camden, we can achieve gauges of .0005 to .0185 inches for toroidal and cut cores. And, thanks to our patented stamping process, we produce gauges of .001- to .125-inch thicknesses for stamping and stamped products, ensuring low losses and improved efficiencies.
From initial concept through production, we provide technical support and design review, plus a full array of services, including coating, slitting, stamping, core winding, annealing, testing and assembly. We also accommodate standard, as well as custom fabrications that meet stringent dimensional, weight and performance needs.
